Koala Corridor by night

Every wondered what goes on at night in our forests... here are some shots of the Koala corridor by night .... Thanks to my brother Parke Smith for setting this up and for the use of his infrared camera.

Another 62 trees planted

Thanks to GMA's industrious volunteers and landholder Con vandoorn we further extended the koala corridor near Petrie Park in Tiaro today.

Working bee planted 50 trees on the fifth property to be included in the project.

We finalised plans for the riverbank walk and checked it for safety etc.

Working with MRCCC to better understand this part of the river

GMA helped MRCCC to complete a cross section of the river when it was really low.

Great working bee today!

We had a wonderful working bee today. Thank you to everyone who came along to plant trees. 

We were also treated to a wonderful French themed surprise prepared by Cecile. A tradition for starting the New Year with an epiphany. Each if us took a piece of la-galette-des-rois.and our king and queen of the corridor were crowned..., based on  finding small ceramic figures in the delicious French dessert! 

We planted about 90 trees. 😄

Today was a bit different to other days because we started in the afternoon. It was lovely being down by the river in the afternoon.

Hamish found a nest of baby birds! Well done Hamish!
